| It is right or wrong; the school of thought who supports Maoists can not be ignored, the basic reason being the human rights of the people entangled in the war between government and Maoists. The argument, that the sons of the soil in the Maoist Organisation with gun should not be attacked when they are heinously killing the police and the people against them, can not be accepted. When the Maoists wage war against the state they should not be spared but contained. While Chidambaram commenting the sympathizers he has the duty also to address the problems and issues the people for whom they are sympathizing for. These issues are not out of the responsibility of the state to fulfill. Yes when the awareness of right on the wealth of their land has come to the people how government can ignore them in the process of development on those lands? This is the basic question the Maoists and their sympathizers are asking for. Now if any plans are made on these lands of %u201CAdivasis%u201D with the help of any entrepreneurs, why the government should not make these Adivasis also to share the growth and progress and wellbeing with these development projects; apart from the compensation being paid for the land they are acquiring. It should be done with a transparency broad mind and concern for their welfare. Will this attempt not preempt the argument of the Maoists and their fight against the state? What are the hurdles to the government to do a bit more and gain the confidence of the people of those lands; which is coming in the way of the country for development? Chidambaram and the government and the political parties are responsible to answer these questions and suggest their plans. This is one side of the coin. The Maoists have other plan that they wish to grab the power of the country with the bullet not the ballot. Ours being a democratic country these Maoists can mobilize the people for them and come to the power easily. It has happened in our neighbour Nepal where the Maoists could come to power through ballot. What is the hurdle for them here in India? |

| Peace can never come fighting with those protesters. The instinct of fighting for their own cause more spiritual in maoists then the government and soldiers in India. Without development governments every say is tyrranical. I wish if the government does not start thinking over the poor as a caste this menance would not end and am afraid they may attack the parliament because their morale for fighting for their own rights is absolutely far higher than the government. I no way support violence but for the reason...do not forget Gandhi fought for the same kind of reasons making the greatest empire of the time the most ashamed one. 'If you are the representative of the poor live poor-life. If you are villager live like a villager you will feel the pain in each cry. No tree can grow leaving the soil aloof.' |
