A fire broke out in the Assam Emporium in New Delhi on Thursday morning. The fire allegedly started in the basement of the building after which it spread rapidly through the building.

According to reports, one person has been rescued from the fourth floor, but several are still trapped in the building.

More than 20 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to control the spread of fire.
