Two militants have been killed by army in an encounter in Kulgam in south Kashmir that began on Thursday morning, and is still going on.

The operation began on Wednesday night but encounter started early on Thursday morning.

Meanwhile, Rafiabad operation in north Kashmir that started on Monday evening is still on. So far, two militant and two army personnel have been killed.

This summer, about 250 militants believed to have crossed the LoC into India. The number is almost 115 more than last year.

Off late militancy level in Kashmir had gone down, but increased infiltration is pushing militancy graph up again.
