Did Narendra Modi ask riots panel to be questioned at home?

Sources have told NDTV that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who was questioned by the Supreme Court-appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT) over his role in the 2002 Gujarat riots, was not willing to go to the SIT office for questioning, but wanted the team to question him at his residence. Modi had cited security reasons for not wanting to be questioned in the SIT office. Instead, the Gujarat Chief Minister wanted SIT to question him at his residence.

According to sources, the SIT turned down Modi's request saying, "It would be unfair." The SIT also told Modi that Zakiya was questioned at home due to illness.
