Chavan does a Raj, seeks Railway jobs for locals
NDTV Correspondent, Saturday November 21, 2009, Mumbai

Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan has asked Union Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee to recruit more locals in Railways.

Speaking at a function to launch five new trains in Mumbai, Chavan expressed his opinion in the presence of the Railway Minister.

Chavan was endorsing the suggestion made by Minister of State for Information Technology, Gurudas Kamat.

"Mumbai has always felt neglected in successive Railway budgets. The state government will extend all support in case the Railways agrees to the idea," he said.

Speaking about the project, Maharashtra CM said that the elevated roads above the tracks will help solve congestion problems.

In the function, Chaggan Bhujbal asked Mamata Banerjee to name the Nagpur Duranto after Sachin Tendulkar.

HUGE INCREASE IN POPULATION is the main problem for all our woes be in 1) Availability of drinking water 2) jobs for youth. From 1950s we did not want to educate the people the benefits of family planning. The secular parties and press were against it mentioning that it will harm minorities. Today our government says minorites are very poor after 60 plus years and they should access India's resources first. If the government says to have 1 kid and I have 2 to 4 to 6 to 10 kids and I am poor is it my fault or the governments fault. The secular people and press have no answers to any questions of mine. Family planning brings in controlled and manageble human population. If the population is predictable, then the policy makers can plan projects and resources and also jobs for the benefit of citizens. The secular parties and the private press even today do not have an iota of courage to tell the citizens of India every day and every minute to practice family planning for their benefit and country's benefit. I have seen highly educated couples having 2 to 4 kids even though the government's advice is to have 1 kid. The same people who have 2 to 4 kids will criticize the government when they have no water, are stuck in traffic jams etc. Does the press have the courage to bring the benefits of family planning to the citizens. I am sure they are not courageous to give good advice to India's citizens because they fear good advice will lower their TRPS and profits. So problems multiply and press is deligeted covering unfortunate incidents which gives them TRPS and profits. God bless us all with sense and it is common sense and not intelligence. Intelligence destroys human race. Common sense preserves human race. Sarve janaha sukino bavantu.

Mr. CM had already feel the heat of raj. is seeking jobs for local a crime? whats wrong in that the Constitution says that the 85% jobs are reserved for the locals than it is by law to provide jobs for the local and am sure its a politically correct step to attract the Marathi voters and also like to tell it is more important that the locals views should be into consideration rather than outsiders because they are the one who are effected by the state politics n not the country
