West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee has said that terrorists are hiding in Kolkata and warned about a possible attack from them.

"Terrorist are hiding in the city and Kolkata is not free from fear of a terrorist attack. We are very much concerned about it," Bhattacharjee, who is also in-charge of the Home (Police) department, said at a function to present medals to police in the city.

"I urge the task force in the city police to be more alert," he said.

He also lauded the performance of joint forces in Maoist-hit West Midnapore, Purulia and Bankura districts in the state.

Mr Buddhadeb is a pragmatic politician.Last time when he commented about Madarssass in W. Bengal and their connection with the terrorist acts he was snubbed by his party for the reasons all know.It will be better for Mr Buddhadeb to take the help of the Center request for additional forces to avoid terrorist attack.Prevention is better than cure.
