Boy kidnapped in Patna in broad daylight
NDTV Correspondent, Monday September 14, 2009, Patna

Like any other weekday, the  8-year-old who's been kidnapped was on his way to school in an auto. There were 10 other children with him, all from the same school.

The auto was a kilometre away from the school when 3 men on motorcycles forced the auto driver to stop. The driver says the motorcyclists were carrying guns.

The  father of the child who has been kidnapped is the regional manager of a leading Pharmacy in the city. So far, no ransom call has been received. The police is questioning the auto-rickshaw driver. "We are doing our best to ensure that the boy is found,  anyone caught with him will be punished severely," the official statement of P N Rai, Inspector General of Police, Patna Zone.

What has shocked Patna is that the kidnapping too place just metres away from the office of the Patna Senior Superintendent of Police. Many high-profile residences, including that of the Patna District Magistrate, and the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court, are just a stone's throw away.

I fall in love, once again in life. Dhanpati Mahato, my new love in life, changes his look every two days to fool security forces.
