Bandh in Mysore, security forces on high alert

Security forces are on high alert in Mysore as a bandh has been called on Saturday to protest against the attack on a BJP youth leader.

Night curfew has been clamped on Udayagiri till the July 8. State police and Rapid Action Force personnel are out in those areas of the district, which saw communal clashes over the past two days.

Three people have died and five others have been injured in the frenzy of violence. Special officers of the state government have been drafted by the Mysore police to go around appealing for peace.
