There is respite in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, after five days of
torrential rain left more than 205 people dead and lakhs displaced.
With the rains holding off for the last couple of days and water levels receding, the focus has shifted to rehabilitation.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Union Home Minister P Chidambaram
will conduct an aerial survey of the flood affected areas on Monday.
They are expected to review on-going relief work for a possible
increase in assistance from the Centre.
