Dear Sir, I read that the prime minister has announced 1000 crore rupees compensation for Andhra Pradesh where as for Karnataka the center is offering only 262 crore rupees. This is mainly because BJP government is in power in Karnataka and the Congress is punishing the people of Karnataka for not voting them. Is this a time to play politics? Any one who saw the news or read the reports in news papers knows that the devastation ny the floods in Karnataka was far greater than that in Andra Pradesh. 200 people were killed in Karnataka versus 30 people in Andra. Is there any justice in this country for people excercizing their votes to elect a party of choice? The center has been deceiving Karnataka through out whether it is allocating funds for regular projects or for emergencies like the flood situation now. Even while allocating power from National projects like Kalpakam power project or the Kaiga power project they give major share to their close parties and deny Karnataka it's share just for the simple reason that the people of Karnataka vote for Non-Congress governments. This looks like the same old autocracy practiced by Smt.Indiraji in the 1970's. Please kindly give some thought to investigate why this disparity is being practiced by the congress central government even at the most devastating time like the current flood situation in Karnataka. It is sad to note that the PM is playing politics w.r.t a national calamity. He should have announced a similar relief to Karnataka as well. In the long run it will certainly affect his party.
