Eighteen students of a municipal school at Pimpri were hospitalised for suspected food poisoning after they consumed mid-day meal, hospital officials said on Thursday.

The students of Class IV were admitted on Wednesday evening after they complained of stomach pain and vomiting after eating 'Khichdi', a rice-gram preparation.

They have been discharged after treatment, officials added.

Meanwhile, health authorities of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has stopped supply of 'Khichdi' from the caterer following the incident.
