Delhi better behaved this New Year's Eve?
NDTV Correspondent/Agencies, Friday January 1, 2010, New Delhi
Traditionally, on the first of January, statistics in Delhi do not mean how many comely women you danced with on New Year's Eve. It is more how many people were caught driving drunk in the wee hours of the morning.

The Capital seems to have turned in a better report card for on-road behavior this year than the last. On Thursday night and into early Friday morning, Delhi Police registered 189 challans for drunken driving. In 2009, there were 274.

Twenty-five people were booked for rash and dangerous driving. Delhi Police issued a total 228 challans.

Is this an omen for a safer year on Delhi roads?
