| Jan 05 2009 | Omar Abdullhas ambitions are quite understandable but he must be practical as Terrorists only understand one language...Terrorism. Just as you need a thorn to remove a thorn, only terrorising the Terrorists would remove Terrorism. Omar should be fully prepared otherwise his kind efforts may cost him his life which is what we would never want to see... nor hear. We still wish him all the best as CM. | Robert | |
| Jan 05 2009 | There is no point submitting evidences to Pakistan for the Mumbai blasts as its already in denial mode, if not it will at some point of time. We cant expect their democratic govt to override the army and ISI, atleast in near future.
From Indias point of view only feasible thing is to protect our territory from every single element which pose threat to internal security.A bunch of outsiders will enter into our financial capital with weapons and other explosives and yet our intelligence fail to detect it. As an Indian, this is a major concern for me.

| Jan 05 2009 | India has failed miserably to gauge the capacity of the civilian Government and their trust worthiness,in the light of its contradictory statement under the hiden instruction from the militia higher ups and the non state actors. Hence having dialogue with the people who have no authority is useless and time wasting one. The best way possible is make Pakistan ashamed of its deeds in the eye of the world. | NAGAMONEY | |
| Jan 04 2009 | We religiously observe certain codes of political correctness, which no matter how unreasonable and ludicrous are never meant to be broken. If the US thinks a country harbours terrorist outfits, you should and must believe them, infact the UN would stamp it, just in case. Similarly, we would totally ignore the instigating Hamas aggresion and the fact that they have been bombing Israel for a while now. Several days into the war on the Gaza strip the Hamas still has not stopped bombing Israel. But all we should be reporting and writting about in the papers is how ghastly the Israely attack is. So let us in unison, condemn the inhuman Israel population who dare defend themselves from the Hamas rockets. After all, since when did the Israelis have a right to a peaceful life? | Avi | |
| Jan 04 2009 | Green NDTV web site is a good move to sensitize the people about those issues which are of prime importance for the survival of new generation.
I suggest you to upload software to calculate water footprint and carbon footprint so that every one will be able to know how their life style and attitude in overusing water, electricity and fossil fuels adds to agony and sufferings to the people of the world.
This software is available on the net.

| Jan 01 2009 | Hello NDTV,
Can we do something to make the airport baggage screening at airports in india better. The check in baggage screening leaves a lot to be desired. The screened bags are returned to passenger and its fairly simple to stick something in after the screening has been done. the sealing of the zippers in the bags isnt fool proof. I tried writing to airport authorities. needless to say, i got no response. Can we have screening of the check in bags like the ones we have in the aiports around the world. its not safe at all to screen the bags and hand them over to passangers. I hope you guys can put this view across to airport authorities.
thanks,

| Jan 01 2009 | It appears that neither the Indian authorities nor the international community seem to realise that they have hit a dead end - clearly Pakistan is at crossroads - split between the Polity, the Military (including the ISI), the militants and of course, the majority of the public who have been facing a situation not very different from that of the people of India.
Certainly the Pakistani establishment rate the database they have is more comprehensive than that used by any other body anywhere in the world - be it the FBI or the IRS or perhaps the Interpol! For Gods sake, they have given General Musharaf a warm send off to the UK giving the cold message that they cannot protect his life in Pakistan! What does the General do from his new hideout? Dish out rhetorical verbiage on how India dare not test the military might of Pakistan, etc., etc. Was he paying in kind for the VISA expenses for himself and his family? Only Gen. Musharaf and the Pakistani establishment would know!
Well, you can wake up someone who is asleep (Qasabs father) but cannot wake up someone who pretends to be asleep (the Pakistani establishment, the Army and the ISI)! As for the militants (whatever name they may call themselves), they are similar to chameleons - blending with the background!! This would certainly be extremely dangerous to all of Pakistan in time to come!!! | RAJNIKANTH | |
| Dec 31 2008 | While I appreciate security to Sports Personels is required - I think its high time that they should be treated one among other various performers of PROUD INDIA. Crickets also earn so well that Im sure they can pay for the security but it should NEVER be on NATIONs COST - which is again peoples money. | SATTESH SINGH | |
| Dec 31 2008 | The economic downturn after so many years of runaway growth has put real estate developers in a fix. Everywhere I read that this project is being delayed, that project has run out of money, this builder is selling the project to another builder... my own flat under construction near Pune is delayed by at least one year. Are there any projects on schedule? I looked... and found Lavasa... a new hill station... hear it has got funding for the next six months. That means the first phase is on track for launch in 2009. | Siddharth | |
