Mumbai: Mumbai's iconic landmark - the Bandra-Worli Sea Link - was obscured from view today on account of heavy rains.

The speed limit on the famous 5-km Sea Link - a majestic eight-lane bridge which offers a super-fast connect from the western suburb of Bandra to Worli in Central Mumbai - is 50 km/hr, but cars crawled today as they combatted low visibility.

Though the monsoon landed ten days late in Mumbai, the rain in just the last few days has already surpassed what the city receives in the entire month of June.

According to the met department, heavy showers will continue in Mumbai for another week.
