Season 1 Schools

Support my school

With the second season of Support My School campaign we aspire to make a difference to at least 100 schools across India.

This season, we aim to work with schools in Visakhapatnam, Palakkad, Chennai, Jaipur, Nagpur, Jabaplur, Guwahati (Amri), Lucknow, Faizabad, Varanasi, Patna and Hyderabad.

Drinking Water

  • 18 drinking water stations have been provided with multiple taps.


Rainwater Harvesting

  • 8 RWH System ranging from 5,000- 10,000 litres storage capacity installed in 8 schools.


Sanitation

  • 12 latrines & 24 urinals constructed for boys.
  • 19 latrines, 41 urinals & 9 changing rooms constructed for girls.


Sports Facilities

  • Basketball accessories and athletics equipment has been provided in all 8 schools.


Green Surroundings

  • Basketball ground has been developed.
  • Permanent flower and ornamental trees have been planted.


Library

  • Book shelf & books have been placed in the library.

Drinking Water

  • Drinking water point with 3 taps, bore well and submersible motor provided to all schools.


Rainwater Harvesting

  • Roof top RWH system and tanks with 5000 litres capacity installed in all schools.
  • Taps have been provided to use water for plantation, washing and cleaning.


Sanitation

  • The old toilets have been converted to UNICEF approved models.
  • 3 urinal counters and 1 toilet for girls has been constructed with an incinerator in the girl's toilet.
  • 7 urinals for girls and 11 for boys have been upgraded.


Sports Facilities

  • Sports facilities like volleyball & badminton courts have been provided.
  • Swings and see saws have been installed in the primary school.


Green Surroundings

  • APS till date, has already identified the local vendor for the supply of saplings and plants.
  • APS has identified different species of saplings and plants to be planted at each school.
