With the second season of Support My School campaign we aspire to make a difference to at least 100 schools across India.

Government Secondary School, Mahadi, Kotra block, Udaipur, Rajasthan

Target Beneficiaries: 250 students, 1 staff; Up to Standard 10th

Drinking Water: Due to the non availability of drinking water source children/staff brings water from the hand pump situated 200 m from the school. For better availability of drinking water within the premises one hand pump will be installed in the school.

Rain Water Harvesting System: No rain water harvesting is carried out currently. An RWH unit will be installed and the stored water will be used in the toilets and for other purposes.

Toilets: Currently there is 1 common toilet for boys and girls but it is out of order. Due to this the children are forced to go outside in unhygienic conditions. One separate toilet for girls will be constructed and the old one will be repaired.

Infrastructure/Landscaping: The space is available but due to lack of water resources the sustainability of trees is hampered hence an additional water tank will provide sustainability to availability of water supply to 20-30 trees and guards which will be planted.

Sports: Extracurricular activities and all round development of children is hampered due to the unavailability of infrastructure. A boundary wall is essential for checking the intrusion of stray animals and a volleyball court, slides, sea-saw, volley ball, cricket kit and carom board will lead to the involvement of a larger number of children in the school.
