Support my school

With the second season of Support My School campaign we aspire to make a difference to at least 100 schools across India.

This season, we aim to work with schools in Visakhapatnam, Palakkad, Chennai, Jaipur, Nagpur, Jabaplur, Guwahati (Amri), Lucknow, Faizabad, Varanasi, Patna and Hyderabad.

Zilla Parishad High School Atmakur Village, Mangalagiri Mandal

Target Beneficiaries: 260 Students, 14 Staff , Upto Standard: 10th

Drinking Water: No water source exists within the premises of the school. Hence one bore well with motor and syntax tank and one RO plant with capacity of 250 liters per hour are required which would ensure students an easy access to safe drinking water and will be able to maintain toilets.

Rain Water Harvesting System: As it does not exist yet, an infiltration bore well and pipelines from the roof are required so as to collect water in order to recharge the ground water directly. This will ensure long term sustainability of improved quality of the water source.

Toilets: Students have no option but to use one functional toilet in the adjacent primary school. Construction of new toilets will result in improved hygiene and cleanliness, and reduces the likelihood of diseases.

Infrastructure/Landscaping: Some grass and shrubs exist right now, tree plantations exist within the compound. School buildings can be improved by whitewashing and painting of walls. These measures will improve the overall appearance of the school and the school compound.

Sports: As no sports facilities are available, a small badminton court could be built which will promote the retention of children in government schools and develop their physical strength by playing.
