Once you are fit you look good. So you don't have to achieve a particular size. You just need to have a bench mark so that you keep trying.
-Bipasha Basu

We are focusing on the kids for Marks for Sports in schools but it is parents who really need to be involved in sports and fitness. I think The Fittest City Contest will get parents involved as well.
-Baichung Bhuttia

I suggested the Sports Minister that we should make Yoga mandatory in govt schools. You don’t need a big ground for it. So wherever there is a dearth of space Yoga can be incorporated.
-Dia Mirza

Fitness means one of the top three most important things in my life. The other two being food and my parents.

Sreenidhi International School

The year-long Marks for Sports campaign aims to reach out to policy and decision makers across the country with a series of activities. These will include special televised debates and discussion programmes with the Campaign Ambassador and leading politicians, televised interactive ground activities with sportspersons and children and a signature drive asking for policy changes.

Signature Campaign

In order to increase awareness around the country NDTV is attempting to break the Guinness world record for the largest signature campaign. The petitions signed by people across the country will be presented to the government at the end of the year at a final grand event. The petition will outline the need for sports in schools and its importance for the all round development of the child. The petition will also ask for the change to be made in the curriculum so that children are given sports education from an early age. We would like to invite your school to take part and join us in our cause.

In order to facilitate the signature campaign in a manner that meets all the requirements of the Guinness World records, we will send across the sheets for the petitions directly to your school and these can be distributed to the students to fill out. NDTV will also be coming to your city to cover the final collection as a televised event and we would be happy to have representatives from your school (teachers and children) present at the same.

We at NDTV believe that this campaign can only be a success with the support of students, teachers and principals across the country. And we are looking forward to your participation in our initiative.
