Lucknow:
Seven people were killed and over 24 people injured in Fatehpur near Lucknow on Tuesday when a high-tension power cable fell on a bus and electrocuted its passengers, police said.
A home department spokesman said that the incident took place in Jahanabad area, 125 km from Lucknow, when an overhead high tension wire snapped and fell onto the bus below.
Over 24 people with burn injuries have been admitted to nearby medical facilities. The death toll is likely to go up, police said.
