Lucknow: Two Arrested for Allegedly Killing Law Student, Chopping Her Body With Saw
Lucknow:

Uttar Pradesh police have arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly killing a law student in Lucknow.

The arrested man, a college student, reportedly knew the girl for over a year. He has reportedly confessed to the crime.

He allegedly strangulated the girl in a fit of rage after seeing some photos on her phone. He then allegedly chopped her body into pieces with a saw and disposed them off in gunny bags.

"He first strangulated the girl and later chopped her body with a saw," Director General of Police Arvind Kumar Jain said.

The man's friend has also been arrested for allegedly abetting the crime.

"Several irrefutable evidences, including the mobile phone and the saw used to chop the body, were seized from the accused's possession," said Senior Superintendent of Police Yashaswi Yadav.

Yadav said that the accused was caught on the basis of CCTV footage and surveillance.

The girl went missing from her house on February 1, and her body parts were recovered the next day. The CCTV footage from the area she was last seen at, shows her on a motorbike with the man accused of committing the horrific crime.

The DGP said that the accused would be taken into remand for further investigation.
