The fire is suspected to have been caused by short-circuit
A major fire broke out at a shopping mall in the New Market area in the heart of Kolkata today.
Eighteen fire engines were rushed to the spot to douse the flames which were suspected to have been caused by short-circuit inside the godown of the mall this morning, an official said.
"The fire broke out at 11.45 am at the CitiMart and fire tenders are still fighting to contain the blaze," he said.
