Karnataka BJP Leaders Meet Governor, Demand Inquiry Into RSS Worker's Killing

Karnataka BJP leaders met governor today demanding inquiry into killing of the RSS worker

Bengaluru: BJP leaders in Bengaluru met Karnataka governor today demanding an inquiry into the killing of the RSS worker in the city on Sunday.

A worker of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh or RSS was brutally killed by two men, who repeatedly struck the 35-year-old man with machetes on a busy street in Bengaluru on Sunday. There have been no arrests in the case so far.

The delegation, led by former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, submitted a memorandum to Governor Vajubhai Vala that said "The purpose of bringing this unfortunate tragedy of the murder of Rudresh .... is to highlight the total collapse of law and order in Karnataka in Congress regime: To emphasise that there is a pattern and a design of the killers in targeting the workers of organisations wedded to nationalist ideology."

The BJP and the RSS had held protests after the murder.

The police had imposed prohibitory orders in parts of the city after the murder until October 20. The funeral procession was also held under tight security on Monday and it did go peacefully.

Special teams have been formed to investigate the crime.
