Bengaluru: About ten students of a school with boarding facility in Bengaluru were allegedly tonsured by their caretakers for not attending classes regularly, police said on Sunday.
"We have received a written complaint that students heads were tonsured forcefully," DCP Central (Bengaluru) Sandeep Patil told reporters in Bengaluru.
He said the complaint had been received, and further action would be taken after taking legal opinion.
"Cubbon Park police have already started their investigation. As per investigations till now we have received information that about ten boys have been tonsured. After taking statement from each one of them, we will take action as per law," he added.
