What I am taking on are irrational acts in the name of religion, Kamal Haasan tells NDTV: highlights
Mumbai:  In Chennai, the chief minister J Jayalalithaa has suggested the terms for a compromise for release of Kamal Haasan's latest movie Vishwaroopam, which is facing a two-week ban on the movie. Kamal Haasan talks to NDTV about the controversy.

Below are the highlighths:
  • I am grateful to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister for clearing me of all doubts.
  • I took a calculated risk, I do so every time.
  • I bet everything I had on my film Vishwaroopam.
  • Why should I take on the state? What I am taking on are irrational acts in the name of religion.
  • Now I know, when I am in trouble, who I can call.
  •  When people came, I was overwhelmed with love.
  • Why should I take on the state? What I am taking on are irrational acts in the name of religion.
  • Yesterday, it was Jan 30 - Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi can be emulated, but you need great courage.
  • I think I stood true to my principles. The film has seen the light of day. The film has released in Kerala, Karnataka.
  • What saddened me was that it was released everywhere except Tamil Nadu.
  • Artists need reaffirmation, we come back for applause.
  • You can always invent your cause if you want trouble.
  • I thank all the fans who came out with  testimonials.
  • I will talk to my Muslim brothers.
  • Tomorrow it is going to be released across India.
  • More testimonials will then come from film lovers and I will stand cleared of all accusations.
