Were the bulletproof jackets used during 26/11 tested for safety? The Bombay High Court has asked the State Government to reply within 3 weeks.
The court was hearing a petition on the faulty jackets used by the Mumbai Police force during the 26/11 attacks. One such faulty jacket was worn by ATS Hemant Karkare when he died.
The state government also has to tell the court about the procedure used to purchase the bulletproof jackets. A citizen had filed a PIL stating that the Mumbai Police force was using outdated and faulty jackets.
