Rajya Sabha was adjourned for 15 minutes on Monday, following an uproar over the Centre's decision to send a team to West Bengal to look into political violence in the state.
Bowing to pressure from the Trinamool Congress, the Union Home Ministry is sending a team to the state to assess the law and order situation.
The Trinamool wants the team to visit Khanakul in Hooghly district where clashes between Trinamool and CPM supporters left one person dead and several others injured last week.
