Telecom scam: BJP steps up 'sack Raja' campaign

New Delhi: The Opposition has stepped up pressure on the government to sack Telecom Minister A Raja over the reported in the allocation of 2G spectrum.

Speaking to the media, senior leader Arun Jaitley said that the spectrum had been allocated at 2001 prices despite the TRAI emphasising that it couldn't allocate the spectrum on old prices.

"It's a loss of more than Rs 60,000 crore," Jaitley said. He added that it was the largest scam in India.

Jaitley pointed out that PM shouldn't have commented on the scam when the probe is on.
