Chennai:
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh inaugurated Tamil Nadu's new Assembly-cum-Secretariat complex in Chennai on Saturday. Those also present on the occasion were UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.
It's a state-of-the-art green architecture in the heart of Chennai has been built at a cost of Rs 450 crore.
The Assembly portion alone is ready now and it may take a few more months for the project to be completed. The state's Budget Session will begin in the new complex on March 19.
