Ahmedabad: Swine flu on Friday claimed 13 more lives in Gujarat, taking the toll to 324 since January, an official press release said.
Apart from these deaths, 175 new cases of swine flu were recorded across the state on Friday, taking the total number of cases to 5,411 so far. "Gujarat has reported 13 swine flu deaths today, taking the total number of deaths to 324, while 175 new H1N1 cases were reported today (Friday)," the release said.
Out of the 13 deaths, Ahmedabad, Kutch and Bhavnagar reported two deaths each, while Surat, Vadodara, Dahod, Rajkot, Mehsana, Patan and Gir Somnath district registered one death each, the release said.
The state government also claimed that 4,016 patients have been cured till date.
