Suspected terrorists today snatched a rifle from the guard of a BJP leader in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district and ran away.
Four terrorists barged into the guard-room outside the home of Ghulam Mohammad Chopan in Chadoora around 9 am today and overpowered the security guard before running away with his AK rifle.
Mr Chopan was at his home at the time. Chadoora is around 17 km from state capital Srinagar.
The incident comes just three days after the terrorist attack on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy in Pampore in which eight soldiers were killed and 22 injured.
Police have said they are investigating the incident.
