Mumbai/Lucknow:
A man believed to the aide of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim was arrested in south Mumbai's Pydhonie area today. Tariq Parveen believed to be heading the white collar businesses of the D-company, said sources in the police.
Parveen was arrested in connection with an arms case registered in 1999.
He is believed to be an accomplice of Azizuddin, the man who was arrested in 1999 from Lucknow's Laxmi Guest House with an AK-47 assault rifle and 70 cartridges.
The case against Parveen pertains to attempting to wage war against the state and various related sections.
He is being brought to Lucknow by tomorrow, after which he will be produced in court.
