Sushma Swaraj Doing Well, To Be Discharged Soon: AIIMS

Sushma Swaraj was admitted to AIIMS after complaints of chest congestion, fever and arthritis.

New Delhi: The health of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who is admitted to AIIMS following chest congestion and arthritis problems, is improving and she will be discharged soon, hospital authorities said on Monday.

"Sushma Swaraj's condition is constantly improving and there is nothing to worry. She will be released soon but we can't say exactly when," said Amit Gupta, spokesperson of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

Asked if Sushma Swaraj had developed any problems during treatment, Mr Gupta said: "Nothing major. She is already a cardiac patient, so there is fluctuation in her health condition. But she is stable now."

Sushma Swaraj was admitted to the AIIMS last week over problems of chest congestion, fever and arthritis.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited her to enquire about her health.
