As the weather showed signs of improvement today, the strategic Srinagar-Jammu national highway was reopened for one-way traffic.
A traffic department official said that the traffic would be allowed from Srinagar to Jammu but not the other way in order to ensure the safety of travellers.
The highway, the lifeline of the landlocked Kashmir Valley as all essentials are routed through it, was closed for three days due to rains and snowfall.
