Hyderabad:
Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Union Home Minister P Chidambaram conducted an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas on Monday. She is expected to review on-going relief work for a possible increase in assistance from the Centre.
Ahead of the survey, Karnataka's irrigation minister Basavaraj Bommai told NDTV that the focus had shifted from rescue to rehabilitation - and that water outflow from Karnataka's dams had been reduced - which is good news for Andhra Pradesh.
