Unruly scenes were witnessed in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly on the first day of the budget session.
Opposition MLAs shouted slogans against chief minister Mayawati and hurled paper balls at the governor. The trouble started when Mayawati called Mulayam Singh's Samajwadi Party a party of hooligans and drunkards.
Soon Samajwadi Party MLAs were riled up and started shouting slogans against Mayawati.
