Ready to sit in opposition: Mulayam
Mainpuri, UP:

Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Monday said his party is ready to sit in the opposition if its offer of "constructive support" to the UPA is not accepted.

"We will continue to give constructive support to the UPA government. We have already made it clear to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh," Yadav told reporters here.

"But if the UPA does not want our support, we have no choice but to sit in the opposition," the SP president said.

Yadav and party general secretary Amar Singh met the Prime Minister in Delhi on Sunday evening apparently to offer support.

However, sections in Congress are opposed to inclusion of SP which has been a difficult ally, in the government.
