Kashmir: Mar 21 (PTI)An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 hit Kashmir valley on Monday, prompting people to rush out ofbuildings fearing repeat of the 2005 tremor which devastatedseveral border areas of the valley.
The tremor with its epicentre in the Hindu Kush mountainrange in Afghanistan occurred around 3.20 PM on Monday and lasted forthree seconds, MeT officials said.
The jolt was felt in almost all parts of the valleyincluding Srinagar.
There was no report of any damage due to the tremor,officials said.
