Today is the season's coldest day in the national capital at 2.6 degrees Celsius. This was accompanied by a thick fog which reduced visibility to less than 50 metres at most places.

PM Modi said the people of Jharkhand had voted for stability. "I congratulate them and pray that Jharkhand scales new heights of progress in the coming years."

Jharkhand will get its first non-tribal chief minister today when veteran BJP leader Raghubar Das will take oath.

The BJP and the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) are to form a coalition government in Jharkhand.
