Islamabad:

An online survey carried out by a Pakistani daily today showed more than 60 per cent of the respondents approve of the PDP-BJP coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir.

As many as 60.23 per cent of the 6,475 respondents ticked the 'approve' box in the online poll carried out by Pakistani daily, the Dawn, which posted the results on its twitter handle.

Of the total respondents, 39.77 per cent disapproved of the alliance between the two parties, which had diametrically opposing stands on several key issues like revocation of Article 370 of the Constitution grants special autonomous status to Jammu and Kashmir and resumption of dialogue with Pakistan and separatists in the state.

Jammu and Kashmir got a new government on March 1 ending 49-days of Governor rule, with veteran PDP leader Mufti Mohammad Sayeed taking oath as Chief Minister of a 25-member cabinet which marked the entry of the BJP for the first time in the state government.
