Out of jail, Shiney comes home to Delhi

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja landed in Delhi on Sunday after being granted bail by Mumbai High Court in the case of alleged rape of his domestic help.

The 36-year-old actor, who was released from Arthur Road jail on Saturday after spending 110 days in jail, has been ordered by the court to stay away from Mumbai till the trial begins.

Ahuja, wearing a gray T-shirt, was received by his parents when he arrived at the airport along with wife Anupam at around 11.30 am.

It is not clear where the actor, who shot to fame with Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, will stay. He has two options--his wife's house in Nizamuddin or his father's residence in Noida, on the outskirts of Delhi.

"He will come to Mumbai on October 7 for the trial. He will be staying there with his wife till then," a source close to the actor said.

The Bollywood actor was granted bail by Justice A P Deshpande of Mumbai High Court on October 1 on a surety of Rs 50,000 cash with a condition that he would stay in Delhi and report to the nearest police station regularly.

The court ruled that Shiney would be permitted to come to Mumbai only during the trial.
