Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan today said that the Opposition should not indulge in "propaganda" while asking them to express dissent in the "right manner".
Ms Mahajan's comments come as Congress and other opposition parties appeared to be closing ranks to corner the government on a range of issues during the monsoon session of Parliament, which begins on Tuesday.
"Ruling and opposition are good in a democracy but the opposition should not do propoganda," she said while speaking at a memorial function of eminent journalist Prabhash Joshi.
"Dissent should be there but people should know how to express it. It should not disturb the democratic proceeding," she stressed.
Apart from raising the Vyapam scam and Lalit Modi controversy, opposition parties would press for the removal of Union Ministers Sushma Swaraj and Smriti Irani besides BJP Chief Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan of Madhya Pradesh, Vasundhara Raje of Rajasthan and Raman Singh of Chhattisgarh for their alleged involvement in scams and controversies.
