Official Caught Red-Handed While Allegedly Accepting Rs 15,000 Bribe in Madhya Pradesh

Seoni, Madhya Pradesh: A community health centre official was caught red handed by the Lokayukta police on Friday when he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from an Asha health worker.

Asha Dhurve, who is currently working as Asha health worker in Lutmara village, had applied for the post of an assistant at Asha.

Community Health Centre, Ghansour's Block Community Mobiliser (BCM) Vijendra Daheria was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000, Lokayukta Inspector Ajay Sankat said.

Mr Daheria had demanded a Rs 20,000 bribe out of which he had already taken Rs 5,000 from Dhurve.

Later, she informed Lokayukta about it after which a trap was laid and he was caught red-handed.

Mr Daheria was arrested by the Lokayukta Police and a case under Prevention of Corruption Act registered against him.
