Nothing funny about April fool's virus

New Delhi: On April 1, the April fools virus is doing rounds in cyber world.

It's also called the April fools day virus- the Confiker virus that reportedly hits the computers once in a few years.

Though not much among the lay users the conficker worm is causing quite a stir among computer security experts who are hurrying against time to minimise the impact of the virus ready strike on April 1.

According to experts, programmers love to target April Fool's Day by unleashing viruses and the latest worm called Conficker C could be one of the most destructive attacks seen in years.

The virus scare has launched a hunt for the writer of the worm, in the software business so much so that microsoft has offered a $250,000 USD bounty on his head.

The virus has ability to take over the machines and make them into zombie machines before stealing personal information, wipe hard drives, and force you to buy anti-virus softwares.
