Sharad Pawar's daughter and Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule has also clarified her stand on a Times of India report, saying the Pune based construction company City Corporation's Managing Director, Anirudha Deshpande, bid for Indian Premier League (IPL) in individual capacity and that it was his personal decision.

She said that the company has no liability and that she is only a minority shareholder in the company.

Clarifying that she was not on the board of City Corporation, Sule said that company didn't want Deshpande to be in the bidding process.

However, Sule said that she firmly stands by her husband and family.

A report in the newspaper The Times of India on Friday stated that Pawar, who is Agriculture Minister, and his family, own 16 per cent in City Corporation, a Pune construction company that bid close to 1200 crores for an IPL team. The bid for a Pune franchise was won by Sahara which paid 1700 crores.

In the report, Deshpande said that "the bid was done in my personal capacity." The offer made by Deshpande, however, was made in the name of City Corporation.
