Jagan Mohan Reddy is in Delhi to meet with senior Congress leaders over the tour that has landed him in trouble with his party.

Speaking to reporters, Jagan said, "My intentions are clear...my heart is free of guilt...I have a lot of faith in Sonia Gandhi."

Reddy, whose father, famous Andhra chief minister YSR Reddy, died in a helicopter crash in September 2009,  had defied his party to conduct an 'Odarpu Yatra'.

The Congress central leadership had asked Jagan not to go ahead with his 'Odarpu Yatra' in Telangana because of the tension in the region over whether to grant a separate state for Telangana.

Last week, the visit resulted in violence in the Warangal district. One person died. The police clashed with those protesting against Reddy's visit who are upset with his decision to oppose the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

Reddy insists that his tour was  "not being conducted as politician." Jagan Mohan, who is an MP, says,  "I had gone to  my father's crash site to attend a condolence meeting....I gave my word to families that I would visit them."

After YSR's death, several people committed suicide or died of shock, allegedly over the chief minister's accident.
