Muzaffarnagar riots: BSP leader arrested, sent to 14-day judicial custody
More than three months after he was booked for making hate speeches in the riot-hit areas of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, further vitiating atmosphere in the district, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP Kadir Rana today surrendered before court, which sentenced him to 14-day judicial custody.

Rana was booked for his alleged hate speech in Khalapar on August 30 and charged with promoting enmity between different religious groups.

He had been missing ever since the riots broke out on September 7.

He was accompanied to the courts by his brother Noor Salim Rana who is also an accused in the case and is currently out on bail.
