Mumbai: Landslide kills 5, trains late

Mumbai:

Nightlong heavy rain in Mumbai has once again put office goers in a fix. Trains are delayed since early morning. The Central Railway trains are running late by half an hour while the Harbour Line trains are running about 25 minutes late.

The Western Railway trains are running late by 15 minutes. Five passenger trains have been rescheduled. There is water logging at several stations - Mazgaon, Byculla, Kurla, Sandhurst Road and Masjid Bunder.

Meanwhile, 11 people have been killed and several others injured in a landslide in Saki Naka. A two-year-old child is among the dead. Heavy rains triggered a landslide creating panic among the people. Flights are on time at the moment.

After the all night downpour it has stopped raining now. Several areas are water logged. Weathermen say there will be spells of thundershowers and heavy rain in Mumbai during the day. A high tide is expected around afternoon.
