Mulayam Singh Maintains Suspense Over Amar Singh's Return To Samajwadi Party

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party once again maintained suspense on the issue of its expelled leader Amar Singh rejoining the party, saying the "question has no justification".
    
"Is prashn ka koi auchitya nahi hai" (This question has no justification)," Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav told reporters when asked about speculation that Mr Singh is likely to join SP again.
    
Party leader Azam Khan, Mr Singh's bete noire sitting next to Mr Yadav said, "Aisey shabd nahi bolte" (Never utter such words)."
    
Mr Yadav was addressing a press conference where former Union minister Beni Prasad Verma rejoined SP after leaving Congress.
    
Speculation is rife that Mr Singh might rejoin the party.
    
He has been seen in SP functions and also makes frequent visits to residences of Mr Yadav and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
