Bangalore:
The man wanted in connection with a fire in Bangalore last month has surrendered and been granted bail. He has been missing since the fire.
Anurag Jain owns the land on which Carlton Towers is built. A fire at the commercial building killed 9 people. Jain is also the president of an association meant to maintain the building. During the fire, smoke alarms and sprinklers did not work.
The suspected cause of the fire is a short circuit.
The building had been cleared for fire safety by local officials.
