A 20-year-old woman was stabbed at Melamadai area in Madurai, allegedly by a person against whom she had lodged an eve-teasing complaint a few days back, police said on Sunday.
The woman, who recently got married, had lodged a complaint against a man named Vignesh for frequently teasing her. He had also been warned by police, they said.
Vignesh stabbed her on Saturday evening, when she was returning home alone after her duty at a local dental hospital, police said.
The woman has been hospitalised in a serious condition and hunt is on to nab the accused, they said.
